Why Gambling Can Be a Good Thing

Author: Gambling and online poker has been seen as such a bad thing to do for many years now. It it not permitted in so many countries throughout the world but what is the reason? What are the reasons that people are against the game so much, lets take a look.
As an individual I dont really gamble myself, as I feel you need to work for your money, but there is a lot of people that do enjoy the game and making it illegal is a definate no go. There are so many positives that can come out of gambling.
Firstly and most importantly gambling is another industry that employs people and pays wages and tax, by getting rid of gambling thousands of people could end up losing their jobs, income and homes. Just look at what occured in Russia recently as an example, The government has ordered the closure of all casinos and gambling halls on the Wednesday, consigning gambling to four special zones in distant regions in Russia, some of them a few thousand miles and half-a-dozen time zones away from Moscow. This has really made a dent in their economy and made hundreds of thousands of people go jobless.
Secondly almost every industry gambles but they just dont make it as obvious. I mean what is it you actually think you are doing when you phone up for these TV shows? This is probably one of the easiest ways to gamble away your money, I mean the quiz probably asks some of the most easiest questions that almost everyone knows the answer too. Such as "What colour is the ocean? Then a vast amount of people ring the premium rate phone number which costs around £2.50 for the actual call, when you know that it is highly unlikely that you will come out the winner.
