It was a great week for professional poker players Erik Seidel when he officially announced as one of the recruit into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2010.
The fifty-year-old Seidel, who actually was born and raised in New York City, has a firm place in the World Series of Poker events since the late 80's been. And he has so often that you still handle your man-cave game room decor just by the prices and bracelets he won.
Seidel, in 2nd place his first major World Series of Poker tournament was taking place (which just so happens the Main Event, poker's biggest stage), money has had 18 ready when it in for his career World Poker Tour comes. He was also three final tables, especially the main event final table in both 1988 and 1999. With eight World Series of Poker bracelets, a World Poker Tour title of his 60 World Series of Poker and cashed his total live tournament winnings of $ 10,000,000, he is undoubtedly one of the most successful professional poker players in the world.
But none of his previous achievements will probably weighed so heavily with voters as an endorsement of Doyle Brunson Seidel. The poker legend called Seidel a shoe-in for the Poker Hall of Fame, an enormous compliment from the man responsible for a series of poker books, including "Doyle Brunson's Super System".
The announcement was made at Erik Seidel presented official website. The site also offers a list of the original music Seidel, a wealth of links on the topic, and a gallery of photos. And for all those people who want to get better at the game of poker, but do not want to go out and purchase a number of poker DVDs, poker books, Seidel also has an entire section devoted to offering tips for up-and-coming poker enthusiasts.
Everything that was said Seidel's most infamous moment probably his cameo appearance in the 1998 film Rounders. The film featured Matt Damon as an underground poker player, poker books and DVDs Poker cited as lessons of life.
The cameo shot actually only a repetition of Seidel in his first major tournament, the 1988 World Series of Poker Main Event. Seidel also get to see human beat-Hall-of-Fame member Johnny Chan
The other gentleman is included Dan Harrington, and the official award ceremony will be held on 8 November.
