My laptop no longer recognizes the SD card slot / Multi. What went wrong?
My Samsung Q35 notebook has a muticard 6 in 1 Reader. It was very good work – Location camera to take the 1 gig SD card out of my Lumix digital and you can transfer the files without trouble. Suddenly it does not work. Insert the SD card into the Slot – nothing. No drive icon on "My Computer", either. When I navigate to Start / Settings / System / Devices I am able, the SD controller driver tab tells me that nothing wrong write. I have tried deleting and re-boot (with automatic re-installation of the driver) and no joy. One other thing. Between the SD slot works and the mind to, I have a number of programs, including Internet Exploer 7.0 installed BT broadband and Ad-Aware SE, which I have sometimes a some run. Any advice would be appreciated. The machine is on extended warranty, but I do not want to send back, because otherwise a very tidy piece of kit.
